Seek the counsel of men who will tell you the truth about yourself, even if it hurts you to hear it. Mere commendation will not bring the improvement you need. – Napoleon Hill
Right and Wrong
Can you recall a time when someone near and dear to you [or not] asked for your opinion about an action or a decision they made or were going to make?
Do you recall your reaction to the question?
Did you tell them what they wanted to hear or did you tell them your heart-of-hearts #gameon opinion.

There is a great book I have been reading related to this topic. It is called, “Thanks for the Feedback” by Douglas Stone and Sheila Heen. It is very interesting and really has made me realize that there really is an art to learning to receive criticism. It discusses how to encourage it and how to decipher the good from the off base and how to handle even the bad or poorly delivered feedback.
Angela,
I just bought the book…have not read it yet. Based on your comment; I can’t wait to dig in.
Hope your weekend rocks.
