Running is my therapy.
It’s where I solve problems, release stress, and gain clarity.
The rhythm of my feet on the pavement is like a metronome for my thoughts, keeping them steady, sorting through the chaos.
Some people sit on a couch and talk through their challenges.
I lace up my HOKAs and run through mine.
In multifamily leadership, the demands never stop.
There’s always a challenge, a decision, a fire to put out.
It’s easy to let the weight of it all cloud your thinking.
Running gives me the space to reset.
It’s where I work through complex problems, find creative solutions, and shed the stress that builds throughout the day.
By the time I finish, my mind is clearer, my body lighter, my decisions sharper.
But this isn’t really about running.
It’s about finding your running.
Maybe for you, it’s painting.
Maybe it’s playing an instrument, hiking a trail, or meditating in the early hours before the emails start rolling in.
It’s about finding that thing that brings you clarity, peace, and focus—so you can lead with strength and vision.
If you don’t have that thing, it’s time to find it.
Because leadership is about making decisions from a place of clarity, confidence, and conviction.
“You can’t lead others with a cluttered mind. Find what clears yours.” — Mike Brewer
