Howdy – there are actually a bunch of free directory assistance services out there these days. My favorite right now is 800-YellowPages (800-935-5697), because you can also ask for people (like your other friends in apartments – grin) rather than just businesses. Also, while I think the automation is cool, I REALLY like the fact that I can always reach an operator if the automation isn’t getting it on any given call. It doesn’t matter where I’m located or what time of day it is – the operator is there when I need him/her.
I keep trying all the free services I know about because I bet with all the big names jumping into this new way of providing service, there will be some fun new features coming out as time goes on! GRIN!
