Multifamily #trust30: Alive

Day 26 is the #trust30 challenge…

Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind. If we follow the truth, it will bring us out safe at last. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

When did you feel most alive recently? Where were you? What did you smell? What sights and sounds did you experience? Capture that moment on paper and recall that feeling. Then, when it’s time to create something, read your own words to reclaim a sense of being to motivate you to complete a task at hand.

Alive in the Huzzah

We went camping a couple of weeks ago and right before bed we had a simple and yet amazing experience. We were in the Huzzah Valley set up right along the river. The camp fire was blazing, the kids were having a ball burning up marshmallows and the creatures of the night were filling the dark expanse with sounds of mystery. As we wound the night up; we had a most amazing experience.

We walked to the waters edge and up along the expanse of hillside for as far as you could see in either direction was an orchestra of fireflies. Playing melodically with the ebbs and flows of Summer’s gentle breeze. A flash here a flash there and numbering in the thousand’s; it was an absolute treat to witness. In that moment; we [as a family – with friends] were aligned with nature. The silence was respected with an absolute admiration of what was playing out naturally in front of us. We, at the moment – were ALIVE.

Alive in Multifamily

How do we help the people that choose to interact with the people that make up our organizations feel ALIVE? How do we create the experiences that help them feel peace of mind.

Your planning to have more moments like that contributor,

  1. From the closing lines of the movie The Beach:  “And me, I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it’s not
some place you can look for, ’cause it’s not where you go. It’s how you
feel for a moment in your life when you’re a part of something, and if
you find that moment… it lasts forever.” Go find Paradise, my friend. _TH

    1. Trevor!!

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule! I really like that movie on many different levels. And, that line is a classic, in my head.

Take care and have a banner week ending –

  2. Your post makes me think of just one word..Aura.  The aura we carry with us shines and radiates to those surrounding us.  If our true aura is alive it can make people dance, sing or do whatever.  That energy transcends everything.  When that takes place within the workplace magic happens.  Great post my man.  I can so picture that campsite 🙂

    1. So deeply true my friend. I know a guy like that! You have some serious radiation [the good kind] coming out.

Thank you for the tireless offerings you bring to so many people.
