I have been watching the NBA playoffs’ as of late. Go Hornets!! No, I am not an Hornet fan, I just despise the Spuds…Spurs.
Have you noticed that when announcers make mention of specific TNT sitcoms, they finish with the tag line; very funny! Now, not all of them get it right. I mean it’s one of those things that if you miss adding the ! to the end, it sounds blah! And, it makes no sense to the end user.
I was thinking about that in the context of career attire. I am a lunatic about career attire. What you wear says everything about you. I mean it’s one of those things that if you miss adding the right shirt with the right pants (pressed) and shoes, it shouts, I don’t care about me therefore I don’t care about you. And, it subconsciously confuses the prospect and or resident.
Thoughts?
What about the tag line; Very Cool! That would be for our blog. It would go something like this; Read it at Property Management, Very Cool!
Have a Very Cool day. M

Mike, I believe the Detroit Pistons will prevail this season, so get your fill of your beloved Hornets while you can!
Past basketball, A point of your post strikes a chord with me, and is likely a motivation for my improvement as how we look is Self Branding. I have always been a jeans and polo shirt guy. Throughout my corporate stint, jeans were my staple clothing choice, even though everyone else wore suits, ties and such, heck I even wore jeans, polo shirts and my signature LL Bean Duck Boots to Executive Committee Meetings! I always viewed this topic as “judge folks on performance not looks”, however, I just made a post “Who will remember you, First Impressions,” which I now see my actions are contradictory to my thoughts. Today, as I meet with bankers, lenders and partners, same thing, I am still in jeans, polo shirts and LL Bean Duck Boots. I may well have missed opportunities because of that. So, perhaps it is time to graduate to at least khaki’s huh?
