What are You doing Today to make your Product, your Ads, your Service and every Point of Contact you have with Your Resident “Interesting” and “Stand Out” Balloons and Banners are not enough to break from Apartment Commodity. Not sure of how to be creative, Seth Godin recommended a couple of weeks ago to spend some time on You Tube and Photo Bucket, and tap into someone else’s creativity for some ideas, Try It, It Works, there is still some time left today!

  1. Two comments in one:
    1) I very much agree that we can learn and borrow from other industries in many different aspects, whether it be marketing, operations, or some other aspect. Why not draw inspiration from other industries on the other side of the country?

    2) I found the picture you chose to be very interesting in that it was an industry-wide campaign. For the life of me, I don’t understand why we aren’t doing something similar in our industry, especially since we have a very powerful message in regards to the foreclosure crisis. Why not pool our resources for a creative campaign that highlights the ease of apartment living, along with our other benefits?

  2. Excellent ideas Brent, The campaign could be as simple as “Freedom” similar to Southwest; Freedom to move about the country. Living in SE MI, and watching housing values fall 35-40%, and still going down, home ownership may well be a myth.
