The death of Voice mail
Ran across this blog post this morning and thought to myself, yeah, it should die.
Here is an excerpt:
Tech writer Michael Arrington wishes everyone would stop using voicemail because it takes too much time to listen to a message (versus reading it), and checking traditional voicemail is outside of a computer-based workflow.
I think all voice mail should be automatically converted to text and sent to an email inbox. preferably on that is checked and more importantly acted on.
All that said, I see the value in the spoken word, even if it is over the phone.

E lead ding
As an industry we are terrible when it come to responding to eleads in
a timely manner.
That being said, I cant wait until one of the major ILS’s creates the
e lead ding. Not unlike the Southwest Airline ding that notifies users
of Internet specials.

Body language video
I found this four minute video on body language today. Well, it is more of a slide show. It not only made me think of the way I hold myself in business settings but also the way our consultants hold themselves during the leasing process.
I am attending a team meeting at one of my properties today and having just watched this video slide show, I think will look at it in a whole new way.
I hope you enjoy it.

Facebook considers adding classifieds
Came across this during my morning reading.
Facebook is considering the launch of a local classifieds service, a source told Mashable. Under the proposed system, it would be free to list items in your own network, and cost a few dollars to post to each additional network.
This seems like a workable application and certainly a practical one for Facebook to create. It makes, having a Facebook page all the more important. If you have not set one up yet, do it here.
Have a compelling Monday. M
